What: Flash Memory Summit 2016 is three days of seminars, forums, keynotes, and sessions on the topic of flash memory for consumer, computer and enterprise markets. The Summit provides up to date developments on rapidly evolving flash memory technology and new competing alternatives like RRAM emerging to challenge Flash. The technology is undergoing rapid change as system architects devise new ways to exploit its unique qualities.
Who: Mobiveil will have a major presence at Flash Memory Summit 2016. Mobiveil VP of Engineering, Amit Saxena, will present “An FPGA Based Enterprise SSD Reference Design,” on Wednesday, August 10 at 8:30 AM. The company is also sponsoring the Flash Memory Summit Theater on the exhibit floor, from Wednesday August 10 starting at 11:00 PM and Thursday August 11 starting at 10:15 AM. Theater attendees will hear the latest product information from Mobiveil and others presenters during the two days the theater is opened.
Why: Flash base storage solutions are on track to overtake traditional hard disk storage in the data center, enterprise and consumer markets. Flash Memory Summit will offer insights into emerging storage mediums and technologies that can help accelerate this trend. The design activity to create boards and chips to implement solutions to meet this demand continues to increase. Mobiveil and its partner Crossbar will be displaying an FPGA-based enterprise storage solution that will provide such a solution.
